Sending notifications to all users can be a very effective way to drive engagement, awareness, etc. As of now, notifications have a limit of 1,000 recipients. This presents a poor user experience making users copy and paste every email address in Compose.
We've enhanced the Compose functionality — allowing users to send a notification to all users by clicking one button.
Users can now send announcements using the Compose UI! Simply click Everyone in the recipients dropdown.
We've updated the API with a matches parameter to allow notifications to elegantly be sent to all users, as well as subsets using a SQL-like syntax. You can learn more here. We are planning to expose this functionality in the UI, as well.
